One of the Founding Principals of GBR Architects, Bill focuses his attention on religious, federal government and foreign embassy clients.  He has over 40 years experience in new building design, interior architecture, renovation, adaptive use and historic preservation involving programming through construction contract administration.  He has managed numerous technically complicated projects which have required careful coordinated and integration of new work with existing structures.  One of his major areas of expertise is the renovation of and addition to older buildings in a manner which is sensitive to their existing character and that of their neighborhood.

Bill has extensive experience representing clients before community organizations and local agencies having jurisdiction over projects.  Throughout his career he has represented his clients’ interest to various public agencies including the District of Columbia Building and Land Regulation Administration, Commission of Fine Arts, National Capital Planning Commission, D.C. Historic Preservation Review Board, Pennsylvania Avenue Development Corporation, D.C. Board of Zoning Adjustment, U.S. Department of State, Foreign Missions Board of Zoning Adjustment, the Department of the Interior/National Park Service, and the Fairfax Virginia Board of Architecture Review.
